Dr. Druz is the Director of Integrative Cardiology at St. Francis Hospital in Long Island, NY. She is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease with subspecialty certifications in Nuclear Cardiology, Adult Echocardiography and Cardiac Computed Tomography. Dr. Druz is a certified functional medicine practitioner through the Institute for Functional Medicine. A graduate of the Weill Cornell Medical College, she completed her residency and fellowship training at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital and her integrative medicine training at Duke University. Dr. Druz considers herself a "traditionally trained cardiologist who practices functional medicine", and is passionate about holistic cardiology as a new practice paradigm. Dr. Druz has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Druz is a creator of the pioneering program-Functional and Integrative Therapies based on Genome, Environment, Nutrition, Exercise, Supplements (Fit In Your GENES®). The program is based on cutting-edge functional medicine approaches to heart and vascular disease. As a holistic cardiologist, Dr. Druz implemented the program at the Integrative Cardiology Center of Long Island, achieving Center of Excellence designation with the Holistic Heart Centers of America (HHCA). She functions as a Chief Medical Officer and the expert Tier 2 advisor for the HHCA, bringing her expertise to patient and peer-to-peer encounters.
